Ok where has the month gone? Who stole all the days? I can't believe it's almost February, well today was another stunning display of football from the little lads. H was in goal in the first half, as our regular goalie is still poorly. H kept a clean sheet during his half and made some fantastic saves, although his new socks were filthy within minutes of getting there! He swapped with another player for the 2nd half, the other team scored 2 goals, then our goalie went down in a nasty crunching tackle. Luckily he's ok, feel better soon Lewis xxx We swapped another player into goal for the last few minutes and they scored again but we kept on playing well and scored again to make the final score 6-3. I'm still frozen to the core but slowly beginning to defrost, if only OH could leave the door closed! Well I'd better make an offer to help cooking dinner although OH does a great job of it :) Thanks for stopping by
Today play resumed after the snow and long Christmas holiday. Harry's team, all 7 of them turned up looking bright eyed and raring to go, the other team all 11 of them were soon doing this amazing warm-up sequence. It was the return leg for this match, we'd played them, away, in our first game of the season and beat them 11-0. By half time it was 4-0 to us, we lost 1 player at half-time, he'd insisted on playing even though he was ill. We had 1 in goal, 1 in defence and the rest everywhere on the pitch, another 4 goals followed and in the final minutes of the game our goalkeeper was taken off feeling very ill. H stepped into goal and was there for a few minutes luckily with nothing to do as he'd run his legs into the very soggy ground during the game, defending and trying so hard to score his first goal. The final score was 8-0 to us, I should have been cramming for my first aid exams tomorrow but it was fantastic to just get out and watch a great match. It's a shame some of the professional players don't show as much spirit as these lads did. Thanks for stopping by
Oh my look at what the DHL lady brought for me today :) I am such a happy bunny, only 3 items were missing. 1 was an alphabet set, 1 was the movers and shapers kit and 1 was a set of texture plates. Thanks for stopping by
Ouch.... my nose thinks it's entered the marathon in the olympics. It has been 'RUNNING' for England for the last week. I got up today because Sizzix said they had finally sent my parcel, although, it has yet to appear!!! I think I might give up waiting and go back to bed where it is warm and comfy
Tania our lovely friend from Docrafts forum has challenged us to start making a calendar ready for next year. Each month she will set us a theme for our page, this month was 'snow'. Here are 2 photos of my page, I chose to use a digital layout for this to make storage easier until the end of the year when I'll print it off. My calendar will feature my 3 adorable grandsons Harry, Reece and George. I had no problem with this months' theme as we've had 2 snow days from school and I took the boys out to play today. We had loads of fun, got a little bit wet and laughed a lot.
Thank you for stopping by and any comments you wish to make
WOW another snow day :) We've had a fab morning playing in the snow, it's still too soft to make a snowman but we had great fun trying. We played snow tig! and ran around on the new untouched snow outside of the house. The boys made snow angels, nanny is a little bit too OLD for that! Now we're watching Happy Feet and all snug and warm indoors. The boys have school tomorrow but I'm not sure if 'my' school is open.
YIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it's a snow day here! I have been a good girl though and have worked really hard on catching up on paperwork and preparing agendas for the next round of governors meetings :)
I hope you are all well and not finding the bad weather too much of a problem.
Today the boys went home and the house feels empty and far too quiet without them here. We've been looking at new furniture this afternoon and I like 3 suites, my favourite one of all of them is a very pale stone colour. I'm stuck now trying to make up my mind, the stone one is bigger than the other 2 but it is so comfortable and feels warm when you sit on it. I think we need to go and look at all 3 suites again tomorrow, who knows maybe I'll be able to make up my mind!!!
Well we all stayed up until just after midnight, the boys were almost asleep on the sofa waiting for the fireworks. They were still up before 7am though!!! It's nearly bath and bedtime here for all of us I think.
I am a happily married Mum of 2 and Nanny to 3 lovely grandsons aged 10, 7 and almost 6.
I have been crafting for a few years now. Luckily for me my husband doesn't mind running me to various craft shops in our area and when we are away I can ALWAYS find a craft shop.
I work as a Teaching Assistant, I have been doing this job for 19 years and really love my work. Each day brings a new challenge although it is getting quite scary now when past pupils are bringing their children to school!
