Monday 31st August 2009

Where has the year gone?
It won't be long until Christmas, this year has just flown by especially this past weekend.
On Friday the boys arrived for the weekend, we went to the dog racing at the local stadium, all 3 boys love to go and George the youngest is so funny as he cheers them on.
On Saturday we went to KidsAbout - one of those indoor play parks, the drinks bill for 2 coffees, 1 jug of juice, 3 mini packs of biscuits and 2 slices of shortbread was more than the entry fee. You have to pay, they don't allow you to take in your own food!
After that we went to the outlet village where they had an F1 simulator with a time set by Jenson Button for people to compete against. They also had the 2008 Ferrari that Raikkonen drove. I have 3 lovely pictures of my little men all taken sat inside of the car.
Yesterday we braved the weather and went to the beach at Weston-Super-Mud, they had sand sculptures there and a Burger King made of sand which was selling ice-cream so we all had one. There was also a 'car meet' which the boys - big and small found really interesting, I was just a tad bored, ok I was really bored!
I'm just about to look for inspiration to make birthday cards for my OH, DD and middle GS.
Have a lovely day and Happy Crafting everyone xxxx

Friday 28th August 2009

My new desk is in place, piled high at the moment with craft stuff and things that I need to find a new home for!
When it's clear I'll take some pictures and try to put them on here.
To make room for the desk I've had to dismantle the 3 drawer unit that held my important paperwork and the boys' books, so it's off to buy some underbed storage drawers to put the books etc in soon - OH will be so pleased!
It's fairly overcast and cool here today which means I can shift the furniture around without getting all hot and bothered.

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Thursday 27th August 2009

Today, after finishing the dreaded housework I am going to measure up the space for my craft desk.
My husband and son came up with the idea of putting a large desk next to my computer area so that I can set up a craft area where I can leave things out to dry or to continue working on them at a later date/time.
Currently I use my dining table but when we all want to sit down together for a family meal it means I have to move all of my craft things.
My little grandsons have gone home today but they are back tomorrow evening for a long weekend, hopefully if the weather stays dry we'll be able to go to the beach one day. They had such a lovely time on holiday and George keeps asking when we can go back again bless him.
Have a good day everyone xxxx

What have I done today?
Well I went into school for a few hours to help a teacher friend sort out her classroom, I didn't get as much done in that time as I had hoped to.
I came home, had lunch and then went to buy some more paper to re-do 2 pages in my son's scrapbook - the red is almost the same and by the time all the pics etc are on there it shouldn't notice.
It's very wet, chilly and grey here today but at least it is cooler.

I'm glad to see my list of 100 thing to do is popular I think I'll find another list for us :)

Tuesday 25thAugust 2009

I can't believe it, my summer holiday is almost over!
I still haven't done everything I want to do, although, today I have tackled the pig-pen and the pig-sty otherwise known as the bathroom and my bedroom.
The only trouble with long holidays is that I get so into my crafting the dreaded housework gets done as and when it needs it, and "what's wrong with that?" I hear my Docraft buddies say.
It's just that I look at the rooms and think that I really ought to clear up and then another crafty idea pops into my head and I just have to start on that, personally I blame the following people for my lack of housework.
They are:
Gina - she makes us do lots of crafting and very little else!
Sue-Bubbles - she makes us spend our last penny on goodies we simply MUST have.
Maria - she encourages Gina.
Valerie - who makes such fabulous things we just HAVE to keep crafting to try to keep up with her.

Monday 24th August 2009

Well I finally have a blog of sorts, I've asked my daughter for help adding a few things.

My intentions on this blog are to update it regularly, whether anyone reads it or not.
Who knows maybe I'll find out that I really can get to grips with technology!

Today has been fairly busy, 2 of my 3 adorable grandsons (Harry and George) stayed overnight, the other one Reece had to visit the dentist today.
He has a special treat lined up for later, his favourite meal and a treat for being brave.
