An Award From Maria

Thank you Maria for my award, I think it has finally been round in a circle. I originally gave this to Alma when she first began her blog. I think this one could rest for a while now so I won't pass it on but will list my 3 things I'd never do.
  1. I'll never ever learn to drive - too many loonies on the road.
  2. I'd never knowingly hurt those close to me.
  3. I'd never ever spend a ridiculous amount of money on a handbag

Saturday 20th February 2010

Today I have done a tiny amount of crafting, lots of sitting and a little bit of cuddling with youngest grandson.
He wanted to stay here when the others went to football to watch Swindon Town. He made a birthday card for their mum and then I needed to rest my hands again. We're just watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and soon the others will be home.

My new blog award

My new blog from Valerie  http://bastelmania-craftattack.blogspot.com/ was a real surprise.
I've had a busy and fairly tough few days, I have so much to do but my hands are so painful that I can't really do anything, so I popped onto Docrafts for a chat and found a lovely message from Valerie.

I have to list 10 things that make me happy and pass it onto 5 people. So here goes:
1. My grandchildren.
2. My children.
3. My Husband.
4. Crafting.
5. Formula 1.
6. Moto GP.
7. Listening to the rain outside knowing I don't have to go out in it.
8. Eating chocolate.
9. Going on holiday.
10. Watching House with my son - we both 'get' the humour

These are not necessarily in the order they are listed. I am thinking of the 5 recipients and will update with their names after a chocolate eclair and a cup of tea.
Ok, I am awarding the award to the following people:

February Calendar Page

Well I've finally worked out what I wanted to do for my Challenge page this month.
Tania set us the task of 'Roman Love'.
Here are my Roman Loves, I know the heads are a bit out of proportion but it's something I can redo when I get some spare time.

Sunday 31st January 2010

Ok where has the month gone?
Who stole all the days?
I can't believe it's almost February, well today was another stunning display of football from the little lads.
H was in goal in the first half, as our regular goalie is still poorly. H kept a clean sheet during his half and made some fantastic saves, although his new socks were filthy within minutes of getting there!
He swapped with another player for the 2nd half, the other team scored 2 goals, then our goalie went down in a nasty crunching tackle. Luckily he's ok, feel better soon Lewis xxx
We swapped another player into goal for the last few minutes and they scored again but we kept on playing well and scored again to make the final score 6-3.
I'm still frozen to the core but slowly beginning to defrost, if only OH could leave the door closed!
Well I'd better make an offer to help cooking dinner although OH does a great job of it :)

Another Match Another Win

Today play resumed after the snow and long Christmas holiday.
Harry's team, all 7 of them turned up looking bright eyed and raring to go, the other team all 11 of them were soon doing this amazing warm-up sequence.
It was the return leg for this match, we'd played them, away, in our first game of the season and beat them 11-0.
By half time it was 4-0 to us, we lost 1 player at half-time, he'd insisted on playing even though he was ill.
We had 1 in goal, 1 in defence and the rest everywhere on the pitch, another 4 goals followed and in the final minutes of the game our goalkeeper was taken off feeling very ill.
H stepped into goal and was there for a few minutes luckily with nothing to do as he'd run his legs into the  very soggy ground during the game, defending and trying so hard to score his first goal.
The final score was 8-0 to us, I should have been cramming for my first aid exams tomorrow but it was fantastic to just get out and watch a great match. It's a shame some of the professional players don't show as much spirit as these lads did.

My lovely Sizzix Goodies

Oh my look at what the DHL lady brought for me today :)
I am such a happy bunny, only 3 items were missing. 1 was an alphabet set, 1 was the movers and shapers kit and 1 was a set of texture plates.
